I made this painting because this is what being in your 20's feels like: EXCAVATION. Digging and carefully dusting off and discovering who you are again and again, trying to grow and become the person you are meant to be. It's messy, imprecise, beautiful, evolutionary, and surprising. And at times, really, really difficult.
This piece is layered with several phases of color and glitter, and walks the line between abstraction and realism. 18x24" oil and glitter on canvas.
