I've titled this piece "ใจ เย็น", or Jai Yen, which in Thai means to have a calm and kind soul. This giant elephant is celebrated for it's gentleness, which is demonstrated through accents of soothing pastel colors. The rest of the scene is painted in sepia tones to represent the elephant's even-keeled personality, while the dark contrast represents it's immense strength (some weigh nearly 11,000 lbs)! In real life this painting shimmers with flecks of gold, which represents the pure and divine spirit that is in every living thing around us.
